 Description: Market adoption of water technology solutions across multiple sectors

This Panel Discussion will focus on the importance of stakeholder engagement, standardization, and technology performance verification in facilitating market adoption of water-related technology-based solutions across multiple sectors. The Panel will provide a broad perspective on how this approach is particularly relevant to innovative technology providers, early adopters, investors, and enablers.

Panelists:

Lynn M. Barber is a Manager of Strategic Initiatives with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group). Her primary role is to coordinate and drive cross-sector initiatives including climate resilience. She manages Canadian and International standards development committees including several for flood resilience and stormwater management. She also led the development of the “How-to-Guide for CSA Community Water Standards”. Lynn is based in Toronto ON Canada. 

Thomas Bruun is Managing Director of ETA-Danmark A/S and Co-Managing Director of VerifiGlobal. His primary expertise is the development and management of construction and eco-technology projects. ETA-Danmark, a subsidiary of Danish Standards, is the Danish approval body for construction products and water and drainage equipment. ETA-Danmark is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

Kenneth Clogg-Wright is a water resources scientist and CSA Group Project Manager responsible for the development and delivery of National and International Standards in multiple sectors. Areas of focus include Nature-based Solutions (NbS), natural assets, environmental DNA, and low impact development (LID). He also has extensive experience as a Hydrogeologist, Limnologist and consultant managing projects on stormwater, flooding, and emergency flood barriers, as well as municipal wastewater and water resources environmental compliance investigations. Ken is based in Calgary AB Canada. 

Greg Williams is a professional engineer with over 20 years’ experience in stormwater technology product development and market adoption. He is active in numerous organizations focused on keeping our waterways clean, including ASTM International, the Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association (SWEMA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF). Greg is Director of Water Quality Technology with StormTrap, located in Romeoville IL USA. 

John Neate (Moderator) has over 30 years’ management and organizational experience navigating complex challenges related to resource management, technology innovation, process optimization, and performance evaluation. He is Co-Managing Director of VerifiGlobal, an international platform of qualified performance testing and verification organizations focused on improving efficiency and strengthening long term sustainability. John is based in Burlington ON Canada.
