ETV quality and impartiality framework
- Verification Bodies performing ETV must be accredited by national accreditation bodies, using the ISO/IEC Standard 17020 for type A inspection bodies. The standard ISO 14034 must be integrated in the accreditation scope of their inspection activities
- Test data used to verify the performance claim must be generated following the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 ensures its quality control
- Where a test body demonstrates its conformity by way of accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 for the methods of testing relevant for the verification process, it shall be presumed to comply with the requirements of ISO 14034 for quality management and for general test requirements for those methods.
